Med-Dogs is a non-profit organization that was created in 2021. The founders of the organization, being personally affected by the cause, struggled to obtain training and accreditation for their service dogs, in addition to having difficulty asserting their rights, and all this despite the many organizations already on the market.
The Med-Dogs program was created to try to help alleviate this problem. Our mission is to help provide service dogs to Quebecers who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders and mood disorders, as well as autistic people.
Our mission is to train and accredit the dogs, to instruct and provide follow-up to their master, and above all, to help our beneficiaries acquire confidence and autonomy through their service dog.
Médi-Chiens receives no government subsidies and relies on individual donations and sponsors to survive.
